"Women by Women" - 8 to 20 March 2022 - Group exhibition
Excited to be included in the group exhibition "Women by Women" organised by Women in Street, Singapore collective. The exhibition features work of 13 female street photographers based in Singapore and the image subjects are also women photographed in Singapore.
This exhibition took place from 8 to 20 March 2022 in Gillman Barracks, Singapore.
2 of my photographs "Lady in Red" and "Be" were part of the printed images and 3 other of my work were part of the digitally projected images in the "Artists' Showcase" section.
I am also honoured that my "Lady in Red" was chosen to be the poster girl for the exhibition. The "Lady in Red" has a deep personal meaning for me as this street photo was taken during one of my darkest moments and she resembled me when I was younger. Emerging from the dark and into the light, she represents the courage, strength and resilience of women.
On 13 March, I had the honour to do a presentation "Betty Goh - In Her Style" to a group of live audience. The topic was to explain my unique photography style and the motivations behind the style. Happy that tickets for the presentation were sold out within a day of announcement and the delivery went well.
